On June 9th seniors of Piedmont Community Charter School-CFA graduated at 6pm at First Assembly.  They were collectively offered over $1,500,000 in scholarships from various colleges.

Final Farewell: Piedmont had a parade for their 2017 graduates on June 8th at their elementary campus. Elementary students cheered on seniors who are graduating. Seniors and their families enjoyed a breakfast provided by the K-12 staff at secondary campus including a video highlighting the year.

Number of Graduates: 67

Valedictorian: Piedmont senior and National Honor Society president, Chloe Baumgardner, has been offered $84,000 in scholarship money to Campbell University where she will attend in the fall. Junior Heart Board is her favorite club because, “It brings together all four grades and has a diverse range of students working together to serve the community.”  Chloe was an officer in several clubs.  On top of these commitments, she has maintained the highest GPA in her senior class.

Salutatorian: Morgan Palmer has completed a 31 hour College Transfer Pathway through Gaston College’s Career and College Promise program.  The tuition-free college transfer pathway that she chose leads to an Associate in Arts Degree.  She will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill having already completed the equivalent of a year of college.

High Achievers: Lyric Richardson, will be attending NC Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, following in her mother’s footsteps.  Lyric was offered $214,139 in scholarships and will major in human resource management.  Piedmont senior, Hannah Hudson received scholarship offerings totaling $374,000.  Five Piedmont seniors are graduating having earned a year of college credits through the Career and College Promise program at Gaston College. These students are Eduardo Brenes Barrantes, Mansi Sodha, McKenna McMahan, Lyric Richardson, and Morgan Palmer.
