Senior Spotlight: Andrea Bolding

Piedmont Senior, Andrea Bolding, plans to study nursing at Lenoir Rhyne University after graduation. Anatomy and Physiology was her favorite class, as she loves learning about the body. Not surprisingly science teacher, Mrs. Walter, is her favorite teacher. Andrea shares, “Mrs. Walter made it fun to learn with games and interesting facts.”

The Earth and Environmental Club allowed Andrea to serve the school community. She played basketball all four years of high school. As a scholar-athlete, Andrea had over a 3.5 GPA while practicing and playing throughout the school week. She shares, “Learning life skills like teamwork, positive attitude and perseverance are important lessons from playing high school sports.”

Andrea took advantage of Piedmont’s strong fine arts program, taking art each year. Ceramics was her favorite art class. She loved using her hands to create art in such a tangible way. Her parting advice to freshmen is, “Enjoy your high school years as much as possible because it will be over in no time.” Andrea is the portrait of a Piedmont graduate.
