High School Groundbreaking

On Saturday, June 1st 2019, Piedmont broke ground on their new 70,000 square foot high school campus. The two story building will aim to serve a maximum of 600 students in 9th through 12th grade. The building will include an auditorium for fine arts performances, a full sized gym for basketball and volleyball games, as well as two science labs.

Mrs. Purdee emceed the event which included the following speakers: Lead Architect- Tom Balke, Secondary Director- Ernie Bridges, and Board President -Michael Satterfield. Raymond James, Little Architects and Rodgers builders were also thanked for their finance, design and construction expertise.  We are especially thankful for Ty Harmon with Harmon Construction. We are thankful to have a Construction Manager with his previous experience of building schools.  The high school campus will open August 2020.
