Clubs & Activities

By the first week of September, this listing will be completely updated.  Some club details are still being developed.

Secondary Clubs for 6th – 12th Grade

Bible Club is for 6th-12th grades. They meet in Mrs. Whitlock’s room on Tuesday mornings at 7:30am.  They have a time of prayer and opportunity for students to share what is going on in their lives. (

Chess is for 6 – 12th grades. It will be on Thursday afternoons in Mr. Stamper’s room. Chess promotes strategic thinking. (

Piedmont Patriot Historians helps students learn and experience the history of North Carolina.  An interest meeting will be held September 12th. It will be a brief signup/interest only. (

Student Council is for 6 – 12th grades.  Middle School student council sponsors are Mrs. Crump and Mrs. Moses. Details on MS Student Council’s first meeting are coming soon. High school student council sponsor is and  HS Student Council will have an interest meeting Tuesday, Sept. 4th after school in Mrs. Starnes room.

Drama Club (8th grade and up) will have their first meeting in Mrs. Perry’s room on Wednesday, Sept 5th after school in Mrs. Perry’s room.

Book Club will meet in Mrs. Simeral’s room every other Tuesday.  (

High School Only Clubs

Junior Heart Board is a service based organization that educates on having a healthy heart. They serve the community in a variety of ways. ( Fall blood drive is October 3rd from 9:30 am until 2 pm.

National Honor Society is for 10th – 12th grades meeting 2nd Wed. of the month.  Membership is not automatic. It is based on a student’s scholarship, leadership, service and character. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors are invited to apply for membership if they have an unweighted cumulative grade point average of 3.70.  For more info, contact sponsor at or

Art Club will meet on Tuesdays in Mrs. Bearden’s room.

Foreign Languages Club will have a general meeting on September 4th after school in my Learning Cottage. It will be focused on Cultural Awareness.   Guests will visit from a different country each meeting sharing recipes, dancing traditions, art and much more.  They will meet twice a month.

Prom committee will meet every other Thursday afternoon.  (

High School Quiz Bowl will be a new club. Details are coming.   (

Middle School Only Clubs

National Junior Honor Society is for middle school students who have high academic averages and exhibit good character and citizenship. For more info contact sponsor at  More details on this coming soon.

Heart and Sole Running Club is for middle school girls.  Heart & Sole creates a positive, structured space for middle school girls to learn about themselves, explore new ideas, cultivate empathy, strengthen connections and develop life skills that will help them as they move through adolescence and beyond. Registration opens Sept. 1-16. First time we meet will be on Sept. 17th-18th. We will meet Mondays and Tuesdays from 3-4:30pm.  ( and

Let Me Run will be on Monday and Wednesday. It will meet in Mrs. Crumps room to start.  Details coming soon.

Patriot Singers will be for 4th and 5th graders.
